Am I able to switch phones on a Bell contract?

I currently have a blue cleo phone on a bell contract that lasts for 2 years. I've had it since march. However, I'm thinking of buying a Blackberry, actually my stepsister wants to buy me one for Christmas, but I told her not to do anything silly in case Bell doesn't let me switch...
So, can someone give me in-detail directions or questions that I need to ask Bell?
Better yet, does anyone know exactly what i should do?
