Other than getting dents from potholes? I want to weigh the pros against cons.
People who pick the wrong size, offset or hub center.
Damaged wheels made by some fly-by-night wheel company that was in business for 6 months so no replacement is possible (all too common).
People who picked the wrong tire size or load rating.
People who bought wheels with summer UHP tires on them not realizing they absolutely will not work in the snow in any way, shape or form. That bit is good for business actually.
Worn suspension parts, wheel bearings, etc... from grossly oversized wheels for the application - also good for business.
People who put grossly oversized wheels on their cars and hack the suspensions to make them fit with spring spacers or other junk, then come in with noise or drivability complaints. Morons.
a higher chance of getting them stolen.
