Thread: What are the different between Polished & Crome rims?

I was shopping for my 05 focus and I couldn't tell the differents. I would also like to know where to get crome rims with black trimmings

Usaully polished reffers to Polished aluminum,and chrome is usally a steel rim that has been dipped in chrome..If you live in an area that uses salt on the roads I'd go with aluminum,Chrome won't last..aluminum rims are polished and then they spray a clear coat paint on them and usally after a few years that will flake off too
