Growing Blackberries, do the canes that produced this year, produce next year too?

This is my first year getting fruit from my thornless blackberries. This year the canes that grew last year produced fruit. Will they continue to produce fruit or will they only produce once and depend on the new canes that grew this year to produce fruit next year?

I'm not certain weather or not this will help, but near my house, there's some woods with wild blackberries (fine to eat (and taste great too! )) growing in them, and for probably 3 or 4 years now we've gone and picked them from the same bushes....so generally what I'm saying is that they came back for years...but then again it may be an entirely different type of bush...hope my small insight may have helped you out a little!
