Thread: Setting ring-tones on a Blackberry 8703e, for your incoming calls & text messages?

I want to set a specific ringtone for my incoming calls & a completely different one for my text messages on my Blackberry 8703e.
How do I do that?
As of right now, I know how to set a ringtone for my ringer, but my text messages come in as a low beep.

Also, what is a "profile" or "notification profile"??

How do I do that? This phone is not like a normal phone where you just got to settings or sound options, or set ringer... it's tricky. Please help.

i'll try to help even though i've never had a blackberry.
on my phone i go to Tools & Setting>sound settings>call sounds>call ringtone>choose what ringtone you want.
for text.
Tools & Settings>sound settings>alert sounds>TXT messsage>tone>choose what ringtone you want.
