    RIM Blackberry Pearl?

I just got the Blackberry Pearl, and in order to ever use my phone I would need to turn the "wireless" on. MY plan doesn't have internet/media net or anything, only 200 texts. So am i being charged for turning the wireless on. Because if i don't I won't be able to receive calls/ call anyone either.

    Thanks in advance.

You won't be charged for internet until you've added a data plan. Keep wireless on. If its off, you won't even be able to receive calls or texts.
