Thread: Putting a Basketball Rim on top of my garage?

So i want to add a basketball rim on top of my garage, there is this perfect wall space space there and all i really just need it is to practice my shots. After looking at some wall mount goals, pretty expensive and i don't plan on spending much time there so i was thinking, is it possible to just put a Rim on top of my garage, here is the link of the item at walmart.http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4016346 Let me know if anyone here have tried this, i wasn't sure if i could put it there without a backboard.
