My dog has a blue rim around her pupils. It's like a light blue circle outside...

...her pupils. What can it be? The pupils are black and they are perfectly normal. The white area is a bit reddish. It's the blue line around her pupils that is really worrying me. I showed her to a vet and he said it was nothing at all! I took her to another vet and he said we might need to operate!!! Help, does anyone's dog have a similar condition? What do you advise me to do???

I had always thought that that was just the edge of the iris showing through the white. I don't think it's a problem. As for the redness in the white of the eye, that is completely normal too. Aside from eye drop commercials, few eyes are really pure white.
