I'm going to buy a blackberry 8320 from a friend this week, he's selling it...

...to me, BRAND NEW for 0.? If I just transfer my sim card, and call t-mobile to turn the phone on or whatever and transfer my number to it, will they also have to extend my contract? I will have to upgrade my services, but will I have to extend my plan?

As far as I know you'll have to pay for the monthly data plan on top of your regular bill, unless your old phone was a blackberry, in that case the bill should be the same.
