Thread: If i bought a blackberry bush and planted it in spring in socal, how long

would it take to produce berrys if? properly cared for? Also, where would a good place be to get one?

Black berries fruit on canes that grew last year. Don't expect much the first year. Most home improvement stores carry them in the spring. I have lots of thornless black berries in my backyard. Plant them somewhere that you can mow around as they spread from the roots and will come up every where.
