Thread: I can't afford the blackberry network on my phone but i want the internet.?

So my blackjack broke and now i have a blackberry pearl. But was lied to when told i would still be able to use the internet and accept mms messages and such. But apparently i have to sign up for a "blackberry plan" which will include internet and texts for 50 dollars. I can not afford this, especially since my minutes plan costs less. Is there an application or something that i can intercept any other signal and use the internet... Any way of getting around this?
