Thread: How do I fix this rim problem?

Ive got a raliegh ten speed,its old.Maybe 80s.I can move the back tire side to side.The axle part in the middle is lose.Can this be fixed?

It can can be an easy fix or a hard one. Take the rear wheel off and see how much play is in the axle. You may just need to tighten the cone nut on the opposite side of the gears. If it turns rough you have it too tight. Hopefully that is all you need to do.l
