Does it hurt to get the Helix/Rim part-of-your-eaR PIRCED?

I am 13. My mom usually says no to most things and a couple days ago I asked to get the Helix part-of-my-ear and the second row nxt to my first lobe PIRCED! But here is the catch, Im a HUGE baby when it comes to needles. When I was reading about how others got there ears piereced I kept on shivering every like couple seconds, So if you could tell me on a scale of 1-10 how much it hurts to get the second row and Helix/rim pirced. Also where you perfer I should get it done. Lastly, how long it will be irritaed becauste I absolutly hate when I get my ears pirced and it is irritated!!! much luv, thanks!

Hi I have mine pierced and it was the most painful piercing I have had it made my eyes water, bear in mind I have had the back of my nexk, tongue, labret, nose and various ear piercings (and stretched ears now). Think carefully before you do it and make sure you really want it as they take a lot of looking after initially. Good luck!
