Do you need the data (internet) plan on the blackberry bold to access apps?
Hi. I have a blackberry bold and I was recently browsing the blackberry site and saw that you can now download apps onto your blackberry off of the computer using a usb cable. If I downloaded these apps, would I need to have the internet plan to use them? I saw some news apps such as TIME and some radio apps, so would I need the internet to use these once I have downloaded them? Any answers are greatly appreciated! Kind answers only please!
Yes you will need internet so that these apps can stream news/radio to your device. However, not all apps require internet - like games and such. But anything that is going to pull information to your phone needs internet access. - and no it won't work through wifi only.
