    do rims burn more gas then stock rims?

    If they are heavier they can, but unless you have a very underpowered car the difference is negligable. The bigger risk with big heavy rims is damage to your transmission, shocks, and drive train.

    If they are wider, which have wider tires, which create more friction then yes.
