I have a blackberry bold (AT&T 3G) but i dont use the internet much, only the blackberry messenger. And my phone have a wifi connectivity to dsl router thing. Can i do blackberry messenger WITHOUT paying the internet plan to at&t and connect my phone wifi to my dsl router and use the blackberry messenger?

No you need the Blackberry data plan in order for blackberry messenger to work. Because the data plan is what gets you access to rim's server.
