Thread: are Blackberry phones okay for teens?

my carrier does not have many good phones to choose from...but my upgrade is coming soon and the only decent looking phones seem to be Blackberry ones. :/
I mostly surf the web, text, call, email, use the alarms available, and take pictures.
would it be an ok phone for a teen? and if so, which would you recommend (no touch-screen only phones, please)?
i've heard people say they're only good for business...
