Thread: blackberry pearl texting/email?

SO im getting a blackberry pearl from tmobile and i got the unlimited email ($9.99/mo) add on to my plan. I didnt get any texting bundle cuz im trying to save $$$ ya know? well i was wondering if its possible to just talk to people by sending them an email to their phone and they get it as a text. And for them to just email a text mssg back?

do you think it will work?

the free e-mail is to the e-mail you register on your blackberry.... it doesn't include web based emails which are easy to write (from yahoo or gmail)

so if your friend has blackberry set up then you can send unlimited e-mails, otherwise you could send an e-mail from your blackberry to their e-mail but they wouldn't get an instant notification since they don't have a blackberry. if they have some sort of other PDA which has e-mail then it would be possible.

the best idea is to add unlimited text messages, because when u have a blackberry (i have an 8830 world edition) texting becomes addictive.....i sent over 200 text messages the other month since none of my friends use blackberry the best way is by text.

so maybe u should save yourself money and do that, since texting is a lot cheaper and everyone has it on their phone
