    On aluminum rims how to get acid stains out from a chrome cleaner?

    The chrome cleaner had acid in it. How to get the stain gone

    The rims were probably clear coated, there fore you won't get it out.

    well first off all chrome cleaners have acid in it you need to use a aluminum polish for example mothers or eagle. never use chrome cleaner for it is acid based to clean not polish. now the stains may or may not come out. you may need to take them to a polishing shop to get the stains out which is costly.always READ the product and don't just jump into chemical related products some maybe helpful and some can set you back some bucks good luck

    When the aluminum rims get too bad, you can always sandblast them and rebuff them to a mirror like finish - even better than new. That is what I do to rims, intake manifolds, and the like
