Your "reproduce these figures or digits" test is the nastiest I've ever seen; I suspect getting one of 'em right on the first try takes a 16-year-old subway tagger with ungodly perfect vision and a high intake of blotter. For me as an old lady of the non-tweaking persuasion, it was a bitch, requiring more than one try even after doing multiple refreshes to try to get a clearer one.
Look, I understand the need for security, truly. But other sites that use the same kind of test make them MUCH easier, and they don't seem to have much problem.
So, please: have mercy on the old and unstoned.
