what would cause a crank aensor to keep going bad on a 1992 buick lesabre?

cuts off when started, when startes have to reav the engine to keep the car on. have to reav the engine when going to shift gears to keep car running. when driving have to drive with foot on the brakes and on the gas to keep the ar runnib also. when accellerating the car loses power back fires and speeds up runs good for about 5 second and starts running bad again some times cutting off. why do i have to keep changing crank sensor

Sounds more like a bad mass airflow sensor. If you can get it to idle, tap on it gently with something like a screwdriver handle. If the engine dies or runs better while you do that, the sensor is bad.
