Thread: question about gas in a Dodge Charger?? PLEASE HELP

ok. me and a couple friends are renting a charger for a road trip to miami. it takes 13.5 hours to get there. can someone please guesstimate or tell me for sure HOW MANY TIMES YOU THINK WILL WILL NEED TO FILL UP just ON THA WAY THE no stopping.

(i hear it holds up to 18 gals, my truck holds bout 20 and takes $80 to fill it. so i figure $80 to fill Charger also but they say it burns less gas on highway than my Envoy does)

I would guess 3 times, It would help to know mileage of the trip instead of hours. Then just take total mileage of the trip, divided by average fuel economy, (which I would guess 15-18 MPG) that will give ou how many gallons you ae going to use.

I guess you are traveling around 1000 miles so:

1000 miles/16 MPG = 62.5 Gallons. 62.5Gallons/18gallons (size of tank)= 3.47

3.47 is how many times you will need to fill the tank if you run 1000 mies and at an average fuel economy of 16 MPG. that car probably can get better then 16 but I would bet I am close to what you will get...
