Are the pistons and connecting rods in the dodge 3.7 liter V6 and the 4.7liter

V8 the same? Are the pistons and connecting rods in the dodge 3.7 liter V6 and the 4.7liter V8 the same? The bore for both motors is the same, and the stroke is similar. They also both share design features and many parts will cross over like the valves, springs, guides, and lash adjusters. Did Mopar use the same internals all around in both motors?

While the specs may be the same, the internal parts are different. the stroke for these engines is define by the crank. The rods are different lengths to compenstate for the difference in the crank.
