Is this normal oil pressure for a 2002 Chevrolet S10?

Today I test drove a 2002 Chevrolet S10 that had the four cylinder engine. It seemed to run great except when i was going on the highway, the oil pressure gauge seemed to be about 3/4 of the way toward maximum, but when I came to a stop it dropped down to about midway. Is this normal or is there something wrong?
