    Ford ignition coil failure?

can a weak ignition coil on my 93 explorer cause excess carbon build up on spark plugs and rough idle. Just replaced the spark plugs yesterday and after it runs for a little bit, the plugs are filthy, and it wont fire until I clean them. Any suggestions at all. I am getting desperate. I need to get it running so I can go get it checked by an OBD I computer. check engine light is on. All new sensors. plenty of clean gas. any suggestions other than that are appreciated

Engine running rich, see what the check engine light says then go from there, stop worrying about ignition coil, that does not cause the light on.EGR vale stuck opened, fuel pressure, fuel injectors, mass air flow sensor, coolant sensor, just to name a few of probability.
