If a vehicle was filled with of diesel fuel and drove it a few feet before stalling, would the car be completely dead? After the vehicle stalled, it was towed and all diesel was drained from the tank. Also, the spark plugs were replaced. The fuel lines smell of gas. An air compressor was used to force any remaining diesel towards the tank - to be drained out. Once the diesel stopped draining from the tank, unleaded gas (two tanks) were added to the vehicle. After using starter fluid to assist the engine to kick over, the was no success in getting it to start. It's now at the mechanic shop. What should I be expecting, in terms of the car ever being driven again? If it's capable of being repaired, what should i be expecting from the mechanics? I'm unsure of how much damage can be caused, to which parts, and within how much time.
