    bought a 1999 Chrysler Town & Country and as the seller and i drove back i noticed

    the RPM 's reved up to 3000? Revving Rpm's alround 2nd gear Not shifting into next (3rd) gear, what can cause this? it's almost as if over drive is off only there is no switch for that

    Back off on buying that car! The trannys are bad cost about $2500 to replace. I bought a 98 that had a new trans & I also had to put another one in it. The computer chip go out easily & yours is showing signs of failing already.

    Sounds like the transmission is slipping.
