Lets see, it really depends on your budget. The 305 is a good motor, but you probably don't wanna spend too much on it.

This is what I would do to it:
-Get a 600cfm 4 barrel carb to replace the stock 2 barrel unit, and also get a matching intake like the Edelbrock Performer.

-Install a set of headers and 2in dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers.

-Upgrade to a MSD ignition coil and possibly switch to performance wires too.

-But above all, make sure it is properly tuned, has a clean air filter, good spark plugs, etc.
