welll if you have had it for 2 years or something they will let you upgrade it not they wont.. my cellphone broke and i have t mobile and i have the tmobile shadow and i hate it and they wouldnt even let me switch to teh color blue! instead of brown cause it has to be the same exact phone. but yeah the wont let you trade it in unless you had the phone for a while other wise you have to pay for all of the new phone
