This morning I watched in stunned astonishment one of those network news/talk shows in which most of the participants claimed to be Christians. The uncontested primary conclusion in the discussion was that Jesus never spoke about homosexuality and therefore it must be acceptable.
Of course we have no idea if Jesus ever mentioned homosexuality or not.We can assume that Satan had not activated the demonic lust spirit as he has in our society during the time of Jesus' earth ministry which therefore would not compel Him to make homosexuality a major teaching subject, explaining why any homosexual remarks from Jesus never made it into the Bible. However,here is where Christians make a huge mistake in dealing with homosexuals;Jesus did repeatedly and consistently advocate sexual abstinence for all of His followers.
Luke 20:34-36 (New King James Version) 34 Jesus answered and said to them, “The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage. 35 But those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; 36 nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection".
Trying to argue against homosexual marriages is an increasingly losing strategy for the Christian community .Public opinion polls show that now the majority of Americans support homosexual marriages largely on civil rights grounds.The only successful Christian argument in these last days will be to promote the Apostle Paul's instructional warning:
1 Corinthians 7:29 (New King James Version) 29 But this I say, brethren, the time is short, so that from now on even those who have wives should be as though they had none.
Shamefully the vast majority of the Christian denominations actually engage in blatant job discrimination against those " who have left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or WIFE or children or lands, for My name’s sake" as Jesus demands of us to prove our total commitment to Him.
As long as Christians devote the vast majority of their TIME,MONEY and LOVE to a human rather than the divine object of devotion, they can not non-hypocritically demand that homosexuals stay away from the unChristian activity that they have so idolatrously devoted the vast majority of their life to in a shameful repudiation of Jesus' teachings.
LET'S APPLY JESUS' TEACHINGS TO HOMOSEXUALS AND HETEROSEXUALS AND ESPECIALLY TO THE JUST PRETENDING CHRISTIANS ! :close look:
