So I want to wire my two, 4-ohm SVC 12 inch kicker comps to a mono-channel amp (rockford fosgate punch 300-1).
I'm going to wire it like this:

I bought a flat-pack box and just finished assembling it. The terminal the box came with only has enough wire to connect the terminal to sub #1. I need more wire to connect sub #1 to sub #2. What kind of wire is this called, where can I find it, and how much will it cost. The only thing I know about the wire I already have is that it's 16-gauge.
Is the wire I need just any regular speaker wire?
Would this work?:

Or do I need some kind of dedicated subwoofer wiring wires?
Also, at the end of the wire connected to the terminal (the end you connect to the speaker), there's a little gold-colored metal tip that looks like it plugs in to something. Is this necessary? Or would it still work if I removed the small tip and connected the bare wire to the subwoofer? I'm not familiar with wiring subwoofers, if you either plug the wire in to them, or if you can just insert the bare tip of a wire and have the subwoofer connector clamp down on it.
Thanks!
