Ok I have a junk load of questions. Any information you have is appreciated.

I live in New York and I plan on just having a motorcycle and no car. I will be riding the motorcycle in all weather besides snow.
-Which sport bike motorcycle brand would be best for this lifestyle? I've heard that some are more reliable than others.
-Are naked bikes (with added windshield) good for this lifestyle?

A few other questions:
-Which type of motorcycle is best for riding in the rain? (cruiser/sport bike?)
-I've heard that naked bikes are bad for riding at speeds like 70-80 and that they get knocked around by the wind too much. Is this true?
-Do naked bikes, like the er-6n look good with a windshield added to it?
-After the snow melts, will the salt from the road damage my bike? If so, how badly?

You might want to re-think that.
All-weather riding gets old real fast in the north-east.
70-80 can be fun for short trips on a 'naked bike' but the buffetting
will really wear you down on longer trips.
You'd want something with hard cases, a back rack, and a fairing,
if you want to try it, and get a GOOD rain-suit.
