I also like a lot of animes that are not all about hypnotism, but after it really gets into the characters and one of the main characters gets hypnotised. I really enjoy that. I'm also really weird in a like it when ppl faint, I don't kno why... im just weird in that way 
I hate Orean High School Host Club and Fruit Baskets, so pls dont suggest animes like that. My favorites in order are-
1.Fairy Tail- I feel like there is a lot of character depth in this one
2. Tsubasa Chronicles- doesn't have too much depth in characters but has a good plot
3. Yumekui Merry- Merry is awesome
4. Zero No Tsukaima
5. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood- Nice plot
