What are some interesting topics to study?

I'm homeschooled. I don't get much help from my parents except they buy my school books. And yell at me if I don't do them. I need some interesting topics, so I can write a few reports and things and not be bored. Stuff like the evolution of architecture, modern torture, strange diseases, maybe even something like a chart of human movement over time (as in where people have lived) based on global temperatures.
I like anything involving interactions, people and also the design and creation of anything. Also health related stuff.
