I own a 98 Honda accord lx. its a hand-me down from my dad who kept real good care of it. Thing is, i recently had them fix my rear main engine seal and it required them to take out the transmission and put it back in. The dealership told me there was a chance the transmission would not run as well as before since there was signs of failure(the car always slipped a bit when you started to accelerate. this has been there for the past couple of years, and i just thought they were trying to get more $ out of me). Anyways, the car runs fine, no noises, but the slip is worse then before. like the Car is bogged down by something before it actually accelerates. Its not too bad as it only does it once and then it runs smoothly after. Since I don't know Much on Cars, does anyone think I have a legitimate problem? I can't afford more work on it, hence my worry. the Car is at 135k miles.
