The positives of hip hop / rap music?

im doing an A Level english language coursework that is limited to 600 words on the positives of hip hop.

I want to include points about its sophistication and the ttechnicalities. any lyrics which include metaphorical language, puns, word play ect would be very helpful.

Hip Hop when it first started out opened up a new world. It give some lighting about how life in the hood was. A lot of people say rappers aren't talented, but that's bull. There are some great rappers out there, like Common, he is honestly a poet. Also check out Nas' Made You Look. For Common check out Testify, Go and I Have A Dream ft. Will.I.Am. It is a skill, that takes time to develop, how many people do you know that can drop some rhymes that make sense? It really is poetry, but just like they're are some crappy rap songs, there are also some crappy poets. There's a rap documentary on Netflix called the Art of 16 Bars, check it out.
