Adidas unveiled Real Madrid's new black third kit to be worn during this season's Champions League campaign. It features two dragons who appear to be in the throes of coitus on the front of the shirt and it actually looks pretty great.
One of the intertwined mythical beasts is a dragon king, which is supposed to symbolize "the greatness, the glory and the power" of the reigning champions of Europe. The other is a dragon bird, "an animal that is able to relive in the most hostile situations" and "represents the clubs resistance, determination and agility on its way to the victory."
Though the dragon motif is more subtle than the one on Inter's 2010/11 away shirt, not everyone is a fan of the design. Readers of Catalan paper/Barca fanzine Sport have decided it is the ugliest football shirt ever, beating out the truly hideous Colorado Caribous shirt, La Hoya Lorca's broccoli shirt, and Hull City's tiger print. But it seems likely these voters find the club crest to be more offensive than the humping dragons.

To go with the new kit, Adidas also released a new limited edition pair of F50 boots created by the same designer. And with the dragon king and dragon bird already covered, he decided to branch out and use the dragon dog for these.
