Nokia N8 handset repair question (software)?

I recently dispatched my Nokia N8 to Nokia as it failed to start. When turning on the handset, the message "Phone start-up failed. Contact the retailer." is displayed. I was wondering as this is a software based problem (hardware is fine), and I suspect it's a firmware issue.

My question is, would they replace my phone with a refurbishment? I would really dislike this. I bought it two months ago brand new, and have taken exceptional care of it, always keeping it in a case, with no marks or scratches. I wouldn't want anything less. I checked the status of my repair online, and they fixed it within a day. Is that too soon? I thought they only repaired hardware in repair shops. What is your opinion?

I should get it in a few days, as it's the weekend now, so any knowledge appreciated.

Thanks.
