i think all he does is work on planes or something just like a car and do they have this same type of job in USAF

Army Aviation Covers:
Pilots (the army has no Airplanes all the aircraft are Helicopters)
Mechanics (engine, rotors, airframe, avionics, countermeasures)

Armorers (the guys that load the aircraft with bullets and bombs)

Also army aviation can include airborne soldiers, Forward air controllers and weather, airtraffic control and logistics specialist. as well as air support operations, fuel parts and training.

Wow!!
Sounds like you youngsters need to get involved and take a serious look at what your family members are doing in the military.
There are many fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft in the Army.
There are basic "mechanics helpers" who only know how to turn a wrench and assist a trained "specialist"
I was a school trained 67B20 Single Engine Observation Aircraft Crewman. I worked on O-1 Cessnas and U-6 DeHaviland "Beavers". Both are now out of service.
In Vietnam I transfered into a helicopter assault company and OJT'd as a 68F20 Aviation Electrician.
Each aircraft carries its own PMOS designation.
There are skills like powertrain, airframe, instrument, avionics, armament, etc.
There are technical inspectors who are advanced specialists.
Pilots are called Aviators. They have to go to flight school, and the Army dictates rhe aircraft you begin with, and you can train on multiple aircraft, even rotay and fixed.
Army Aviation is a very good endeavor, but it takes a good head, and common sence. Scores on the tests in basic will place you there if you qualify.

The Air Force is not all aviation, the same applies there.
I do not know all of the specialty job codes, but my uncle was a Phantom (F-4) crew chief back inthe day. Another friend was a F-4 bombadier...

Your recruiter vcan give you the newest PMOS job descriptions.

Did your brother go to school at "Mother Rucker", thats the Army Aviation Center?

Army Aviation is mainly helicopters. Rotor wings.. They do have some airplanes (fixed wings) but it is more likely he is involved in copters....

Aviation has to do basically with things that fly (i.e. mostly helicopters, maybe a few airplanes). However; doing aviation could cross many factors. He could be a pilot, crew chief (servicing the aircraft) or maintenance (i.e. airframes, aviation electronics, hydraulics, tire and wheel, engine, ordnance and pilot equipment.

Yeah, he works with planes or drives them. Ask him if he's an Aviest, a plane flyer. You should ask him what he does and tell him thanks for serving your country. He probably refuels planes or repairs them.
