As rampant bushfires devastate lives and ecosystems throughout Australia, the most prominent basketball player in the country is trying to do some good. LaMelo Ball, the 2020 NBA draft prospect playing for the National Basketball League's Illawarra Hawks in Australia this season, has pledged to donate one month of his salary to help victims of the country's bushfires, his team announced Thursday. The Hawks will also be raising money for the Salvation Army Disaster Appeal during their game against the Melbourne United.
