Jeep Cherokee starting issue?

I have a 96 Jeep Cherokee classic. It will only start if we give it gas and it will shut down if I stop giving it gas. It over heated and got a leak in the radiator a few months ago so we put in a new radiator, new water pump and new hoses. Then the starting issues happened. We then replaces the plugs and wires, the distributor cap and rotor, put in a new battery, a new fuel pump and fuel lines, and changed the fuel filter. We had the fuel pressure checked and the sparks and still cannot figure out what is wrong with it. We went back to basics and checked the most basic things a car would need to run so we are stumped.

Any Ideas?

Sorry to point out the obvious but why didn't you take it to a garage before replacing all of those parts that obviously didn't need replacing.

How much money did you spend on this wild goose chase because you could have spent it at a repair shop.
