Is 2.2 Froyo is the next version of android 2.2.1?

hi.. i have a samsung galaxy phone.. it has android 2.2.1... im planning to upgrade my phone to froyo.. is froyo the next version of 2.2.1? please help.. and is it useful if i upgrade it?

2.2 is Froyo. The next version would be 2.2.2 (the latest release) for Froyo.

Or going to the next version 2.3.5 Gingerbread.

The trouble with Android is they play dictator with regards to operating system updates. People never know when their phone is going to be updated or even eligible for an update. Virtually no Android phone currently in use will get 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

LOL. 2.2.1 is a newer version of Froyo. Your phone will be upgraded to 2.3 Gingerbread if you upgraded it
