iphone 5 prepaid sim card?

my aunt is coming from Taiwan to America for a short visit. She's bringing her iphone 5 with her and is asking me if she can just buy a prepaid sim card for a short period of time when she's here. What would i do?? since i personally don't own a smart phone, i have no clue at all. Would she just go to a certain store and buy them when she gets here??

I believe international models use gsm, but you'll have to ask. If its GSM, she can buy a prepaid SIM card and use it for when she is here.

Net 10 is really good for prepaid. It will work with the iPhone 5.
