i have a sore throat! make it go away! :(?

ok so ive had a sore throat since yesterday morning. in the morning it wasnt bad at all, but when i got home from school, it hurt terribly. i think it was even worse because my mom is in the process of painting the kitchen and bathrooms. but i had 2 cups of tea last night and it helped a tiny bit.
so today i woke up and it didnt hurt like almost at all and throughout the day it hurt more and more. so now it hurts really bad and i wanna make it go away. how can i soothe it ? any recipes or treatments?
