my project it's about recipes. and i have to write my food recipes.
and it has following item for the recipe collection.
1. presentation.
2. measuring equivalents
3. common substitutions.
What is a common substitution. i searched it. but i don't understand what is real meaning of common substitution is.. plz can you help??
i'm going to start on my project now.
What is a COMMON SUBSTITUTION? and also can you guys give me a least one example??

A "common substitution" is just a fancy name for an ingredient that can be used in the place of another. It's a food item that people may, well, commonly use as a substitute. A example of a common substitution would be soymilk instead of dairy milk. Another might be almonds instead of peanuts. People might replace an ingredient with another because of allergies, dieting, religious observances, or they just don't like it.
