I have an lg tv the front of it looks flat screen but the back of it has the butt part. My tv used to work fine when I had direct tv box because I would change channels on the box, not the tv (the tv only had to stay on 3) I just moved to a place that has basic cable from brighthouse included. My tv doesn't have a remote and manually it only lets me go up about 6 or 7 channels. So I bought a universal remote and it still only lets me go to those 6 or 7 channels.I called brighthouse to say that I am not getting all the channels I am supposed to and the guy came and said it is because I need to sync my tv. (also my channels are all wrong. Like I will type in to go to channel 5 it will say something like "channel 5 abc" but channel five locally is not ABC. )
I went in the menu and there is no sync channels option. And sometimes when I go to the menu and try to navigate through the list it will instead change the channel I am on. Is there a way to fix that as well?
