How Do I Burn .ISO or .MDF files to a CD/DVD disc?

My little brother recently buggered up his copy of Dawn of War: Soulstorm, so now the disc won't play for some reason. I've managed to get the files onto my comp as .iso and .mdf files. I thought it'd be a simple matter of then putting one (or both?) of those files onto a DVD+R DL cd, but I guess not. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have no idea what I'm doing. I've tried using Alcohol 120% and ImgBurner and Daemon Tools, but none have worked. Anyone know what the problem might be? I'm using Vista, if that helps as well. Someone suggested that the .iso file could be corrupted, but I've checked it over and it seems fine.

IMGBURN ( http://www.imgburn.com/ )should work but you may not have a complete file set. These disks are pretty well copy protected, and you may not have a critical file
