The soap first aired on the channel in 1995, but is set to solely air on companion channel E4 as well as YouTube. Channel 4 has confirmed to The Independent that each episode will also be uploaded to YouTube in an attempt to further reach the show’s younger demographic. E4 has premiered new episodes of Hollyoaks since 2005, with that instalment then being broadcast on Channel 4 the following day.
