Hi all,

My cousin moved to Dubai and gave me his iPhone to use here in Perth...

It had all his contacts in it so I clicked on "Erase All Content and Settings". That resulted in the phone not being able to turn on. Screwed!!!

I looked in a few forums and tried Restoring it via iTunes. That restored it and updated it to the latest version (did this on 13 October 2010), however when i tried to turn it on it then asked for the Original Sim in order to Activate it. Screwed again!!!

Then I took it to the Apple shop and asked them to fix it and the dude said it is locked to the Telstra carrier. He then put a Telstra sim in and it turned on, and he took the sim out and it's still working (however you can't make calls of course).

So this is the situation I'm in... I want to jailbreak it so I can put my '3' sim-card in but I'm not sure if there is a jailbreaking software for the version I'm currently on. I've done a bit of research and I've read that Greenp0ison is a virus and sn0wbreeze works but I would love some help and a step-by-step guide on how to do it...

My specs are.... (taken from Settings, General, About)
- Version: 4.1 (8B117)
- Model: MC131X
- Modem Firmware: 05.14.02

Thanks for your time! :D
