EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The New York Giants aren't giving fans much to cheer about this season, but for a few minutes Monday night, the stadium was as loud as ever. That'll happen when a few of the all-time greats are in the house honoring the Giants latest Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee.
Michael Strahan was presented with his Hall ring during a halftime ceremony. He ran through about 40 former teammates on his way to the stage, where Frank Gifford, Harry Carson and Lawrence Taylor were waiting for him.

After a series of what can only be described as jumping bows, the ever-enthusiastic Strahan made a brief speech, thanking fans and giving them quick instructions on how to wave the "Strahan 92" towels given out at the gates. The stands have been a sea of white towels all night.*
If it was up to the fans, he would've been there for much more than halftime.*
@devinedavid88 If only Strahan could fire up the #NYG the way he did the crowd ?

To bad Strahan can't help the Giants out now

Does anyone else think the Giants should have suited up Strahan at the half? Horrible pass rush, horrible run stopping. #MNF

Strahan should just suit up and go out there

The Giants could certainly use him again. Jason Pierre-Paul, who leads the team with 3.5 sacks this season, went down with an injury in the first half. The team has a combined 13 sacks all season. In his best year, Strahan set an NFL record with 22.5. He had 141.5 in his career, all with the Giants, making him the team's all-time leader.
Before Monday's game, he said he'd love to be putting on a uniform.*
"I'd love to sack Andrew Luck. The problem is catching Andrew Luck," Strahan said. "He's lucky. He's good for a reason because he's a great hard-working player. It would be very nice to sack a lot of these young guys."
Of course, his playing days are over, and he's moved on to hosting ABC's "Live with Kelly and Michael." On Tuesday morning he'll be chatting with Matthew McConaughey about McConaughey's new movie, "Interstellar." The Oscar-winning actor just happened to be at the Monday night game talking about the movie.

Somehow, in all the hoopla before the game, McConaughey seems to have forgotten to mention another movie connection he shares with Strahan: McConaughey starred in "Magic Mike;" Strahan will appear in the upcoming "Magic Mike XXL."
